Overview

What Wiestigo Mirador is, which views it has and which roles work in it.

Wiestigo Mirador manages requirements and everything attached to them: structure, attributes, relationships down to the test, frozen states, reviews, variants and documents. It works alongside Jira and Jama, keeps in sync with them, imports existing data from ReqIF and Excel, and passes it on as ReqIF. In some places the interface still calls Mirador by its internal name, RMM.

The views

The top bar holds the project selector on the left, the search in the middle and, in between, the tabs of the views:

Tabwhat formore
Projectsall projects you may seeGetting started
Directory viewrequirements as a tree and a table; filters and checksDirectory
Traceability viewrelationships across the levels, gaps, suspect linksTraceability

If the window is too narrow for all tabs, the rest sit in the More views menu (the three dots).

On the right of the top bar are the connection status, the theme, the interface language (German or English), the notifications and your account.

Roles

Mirador grants rights per project. A project is visible only to its members:

Project rolemay
Reader (READER)read everything, take part in reviews as a reviewer, create private filters and views
Editor (EDITOR)create and change requirements, relationships and comments, create baselines and reviews, share filters and views
Project administrator (PROJECT_ADMIN)also manage members, rename and delete baselines, set default views, maintain project variants

On top of that there is the administrator (global role ADMIN): they see and may do everything, create projects and users and manage type schemas, licence and settings. More under Users and roles.

Where Mirador runs

Mirador runs in your own data centre, as a set of containers behind a single entry point – see Self-hosting. We also operate Mirador in the cloud – in the EU, except for language-model services, some of which we source from US providers and none of which you have to use. We are happy to go through the details in a demo.
