Frequently asked questions

What we are asked most often before a demo – answered briefly. Everything else we are happy to discuss in person.

What is Mirador – and who is it for?

Wiestigo Mirador is a requirements management tool: it traces requirements from stakeholder to test, records states as baselines, runs reviews in rounds and has variant management built in. It is made for engineering teams that have to manage their requirements verifiably – in automotive, medical devices, rail, aerospace and mechanical engineering, for example.

All features

Do I have to replace my existing tool?

No. Mirador syncs requirements with Jira and Jama in both directions and works alongside them. Existing data from DOORS comes over via ReqIF – as an import, not as an ongoing sync; further tools connect through your own adapters or the REST API.

More about integration

Where does my data live?

That is your choice. We operate the cloud in the EU, except for language-model services, some of which we source from US providers and none of which you have to use. In your own data centre, your data stays on your own servers – unless you connect a provider’s language model.

More about deployment and growth

What does the AI do with my requirements?

It suggests: interfaces, features and the classification of requirements – every suggestion with its evidence from the text. Only what you approve goes into the specification. A provider’s language model is involved only if your operations team sets one up; the learning classifier runs locally and offline and stores weights, not requirement text.

How do I get started?

With a pilot project alongside your existing tool, in the cloud or in your own data centre. Before that, we show you Mirador in a demo on a sample project – or on your own sample requirements.

How does licensing work?

Mirador is licensed by seats: for editors, for readers and for technical accounts – anyone who only reads needs no full seat. Reviews, approvals, baselines with comparison and documents from your own templates are part of the standard scope. We discuss pricing in the demo.

More about the licence in the documentation

Is there documentation?

Yes, open to everyone – even before you talk to us. It covers everything from your first project to self-hosting, and every chapter states the version it was checked against.

How quickly do I get an answer?

We reply to a request by email within two working days. For the demo we suggest a date – or go by the date you prefer.

Who is behind it

See for yourself.

In a demo we show you Mirador on a sample project and answer your questions about integration, operations and data protection.
